Hospital for less fortunate

Hospital for less fortunate

Dobrý pastier

In the community Good Shepherd in Kláštor pod Znievom lives more than 430 people on the margine of society. There are old and sick people without sufficient resources for medical and social care, ex-homeless people, young people from children's homes, and people who had problems with alcohol, drugs and othe addictions in the past. These people work in various working groups and companies established by community. Some clients have taken nursing courses to help the elder and the sick. Work helps them to find usefulness, to return to life, but also to make money for themselves and community development - building repairs and investment in new projects. One of the biggest projects we are preparing is the hospital, which will serve these people.

Work helps them to find usefulness, to return to life, but also to make money for themselves and community development - building repairs and investment in new projects. One of the biggest projects we are preparing is the hospital, which will serve these people.

The idea of this project came from Vladimír Maslák. He is a priest who has been established this community for over 10 years from zero to 430 people. Vladimir was able to repair old buildings with his clients for nursing homes for seniors and sick people and for other purposes - e.g. agricultural production, hostels, kitchens, bakery, chapels, etc. At the same time, he is building the house for homeless people and families and helping them get back to life. The hospital will mainly serve long-term sick people who currently have to lie in rooms where there are 10-15 people, and they often need more intimate care. We've been able to find doctors and nurses who want to work with us. We are dealing with companies that make hospital beds and aids to support our hospital. We have a modular construction project of the hospital ready so that we can build and finance the building and infrastructure according to our revenues. More about the project.

The project motivation: A hospital for poor people who are without money and help.

Project leaders: Vladimír Maslák, Ján Košturiak

Project status:

1. Prepared project for hospital construction in the location Kláštor pod Znievom with the working name Hospital of St. Margaret

2. The project of a modular building, which can be expanded step by step and financed by revenues of the community (the pre-budget for the building is 420 thousand euros)

3. The patients of the hospital are currently located in the Community Good Shepherd in Kláštor pod Znievom, but in unsuitable conditions

4. There is a recruitment of doctors and nurses, some of them are already actively helping just now.

5. Vladimir Maslak and Jan Kosturiak provide finance, instrumentation and hospital supplies
